Tuesday 15th to Saturday 19th August, flautist Maaike van der Linde and violinist Geerte de Koe led a special Neflac project which concluded with… a performance at the Grachtenfestival in
Amsterdam!
Together
with Stichting de Vrolijkheid, 15 young people from asylum centers and 5
(former) Neflac flutists between 18 and 25 years old are challenged to
think about 100 years De Stijl for an entire week. What happened
culturally 100 years ago in their home country, where will we be a
hundred years from now?
In
a creative setting of co-creation, the starting point was a green
meadow. With a box full of creative music exercises, assignments,
sharing stories and the input of professionals, the collective worked
