Summer Academy Concert 2018

"How wonderful to hear and see young flute players who so obviously delight in making music together... and with such nuance, precision and discipline. Congratulations!!!!" Cecilia Oomes - retired flute plyer, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra

For the 10th time, we will conclude the Summer Academy with an exciting concert in the recital hall of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam!

A fabulous flute orchestra, consisting of young talented players from both at home and abroad, led by the artistic director of Neflac and solo flute player of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Emily Beynon, will take the audience on a musical adventure through various musical eras and styles. In addition, they will be heard in solos and smaller ensembles.

Together they will have enjoyed an intensive week including lessons, master classes, coaching sessions with the pianist, ensembles, technical clinics, flute orchestra and inspiring workshops.

Guest soloist this year is world-renowned solo trombonist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Jörgen van Rijen!

Conductor: Jeroen Bron (flute player/Neflac teacher)

This year the Summer Academy is one day shorter than in previous years, as a result of which the Open Air concert in Park Sonsbeek and the Evening concert in De Steeg will sadly not take place. However, we will conclude the Summer Academy 2018 with one rousing final concert - don't miss it!!
